CIAP Nominations

Submit nominations (including self-nominations) by May 6, 2016 for three open positions on the Court Interpreter Advisory Panel (CIAP): reg-2 employee, reg-4 employee, OTS independent contractor.

The nomination period for vacancies on the Court Interpreters Advisory Panel (CIAP) is now open.  The ongoing work of CIAP is vital to the expansion of language access in our courts, and is directed by the Strategic Plan for Language Access in the Courts.  http://www.courts.ca.gov/LAP.htm  

CIAP has three (3) openings for certified or registered Court Interpreters, and your assistance is  appreciated to help identify qualified interpreter candidates, as identified below, for consideration by the Chief Justice to fill the upcoming vacancies.  Candidates selected will begin their tenure on, November 1, 2016.

Self-nominations are encouraged; however, if you are nominating someone, please check to ensure that your nominee is interested in a position and is available to serve if selected.  You may also refer interested candidates to visit the CIAP website where they may review the current Annual Agenda, which offers an overview of the projects CIAP is currently working on.  http://www.courts.ca.gov/ciap.htm


Court Interpreter Openings

Nominations are being solicited for:

  • Court Interpreter (certified or registered) Region 2 Employee
  • Court Interpreter (certified or registered) Region 4 Employee
  • Court Interpreter, Independent Contractor (certified or registered) in a language Other than Spanish

Other vacancies for which you may submit nominations, are identified on the nomination form .

Interested candidates can complete the nomination form and submit a current CV and/or statement of qualifications. The deadline to submit nominations is: FridayMay 6 , 2016. Completed applications may be submitted to:
